Hi, I'm Taber-- My approach to counseling roots itself in psychodynamic, Gestalt, and attachment theories, focusing on understanding the full context of a person’s emotional life, relationships, and formative experiences. I'm also influenced by emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral interventions, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work. My clinical focus is on helping clients better understand their internal world, recognize emotional patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My primary focus areas are: Anxiety and stress Identity exploration Relationship patterns and attachment concerns Major life transitions Self-esteem and personal growth Trauma-informed support Faith and spiritual integration Young adult and college student challenges Anxiety and stress management At the core of my work is a desire to help clients strengthen the connection between mind, body, and emotional experience. I support clients in making meaning of their personal stories and moving toward greater emotional clarity, stability, and integration. Counseling is primarily a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each client’s lived experience.
