I have over 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families across a wide range of settings. I bring a grounded, compassionate, and comprehensive approach to mental health care. My career has taken me through experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, medical social work, an Intensive Outpatient Treatment facility, a community mental health center, and several years as a teacher and a social worker within the school system. This has given me a deep understanding of the diverse challenges people face at every stage of life. I have worked extensively with children ages 6–12, adolescents and young adults ages 12–18, adults, and older adults. For the past three years, I have served as a school social worker, where I have developed a strong appreciation for the power of play-based engagement. I believe that play provides children with a natural, comfortable way to express their feelings, build trust, and participate more fully in the therapeutic process. My therapeutic style is eclectic, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. I primarily integrate: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Mindfulness-based approaches Positive Psychology When working with couples, I provide marital counseling using the Gottman Method, helping partners strengthen communication, deepen emotional connection, and build sustainable, healthy relationship habits. Across all populations and treatment settings, my goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. I am committed to helping individuals discover their strengths, develop effective coping tools, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
