Introduction

Teresa a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth counseling to adults across Georgia. I work with people who are navigating trauma, bipolar disorder, substance use, anxiety, depression, and other severe mental health challenges. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are without feeling judged or misunderstood. Many of the people I work with feel like their experiences have been “too much” for others to handle. Maybe you’ve been told to just push through, calm down, or think more positively when what you’re going through is far more complex than that. I believe therapy should be a place where the hard stuff can be talked about honestly and handled with care. My approach to counseling is practical, compassionate, and focused on helping you build real tools for daily life. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and move toward stability. Before private practice, I spent several years working in community mental health supporting individuals with severe mental illness, trauma, and addiction. That experience taught me how important it is to meet people where they are and to focus on progress, not perfection. If your stuff feels like too much right now, you don’t have to carry it alone. Therapy can be a place where things start to make sense again, and where change becomes possible one step at a time. Message to clients My work is grounded in compassion, faith, and community. As a Christian, I value love, accountability, and service; however, I provide therapy that honors and respects all cultural, racial, and spiritual backgrounds. I am committed to inclusive and actively support collaboration with community organizations that serve diverse populations. I believe access to quality mental health care should be equitable and culturally affirming. You Might Be Feeling This Way…... You may feel overwhelmed by thoughts, emotions, or life situations that seem harder to manage than they used to be. Some days it may feel like you are barely keeping things together while still trying to meet responsibilities at work, at home, or in relationships. Maybe your mind won’t slow down at night, replaying past events or worrying about what could happen next. You might feel emotionally exhausted, stuck in patterns that are hard to break, or unsure how to regain a sense of stability. For some people, past trauma still affects how safe the world feels today. If your stuff feels like too much, you don’t have to carry it alone. This is A Safe Place to Work Through the Hard Stuff and Start Feeling Like Yourself Again.
