With over 20+ years of experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through life's challenges. I am licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have spent most of my career working directly in my clients' homes with them and their families. In 2020, I moved to telehealth services, which still provide that at-home comfort. Clients can choose which ever services they feel more comfortable with, in office or telehealth. My approach My therapeutic approach focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. To change what we do, we need to figure out why we do it. So, I will help you explore your thoughts which will then provide you with other ways to manage emotions and situations in the future. Additionally, while we will discuss the past to get an understanding of current behaviors, we will look more closely at the current situation to help with not only this situation but so you have the skills to use in the future. My focus My extensive experience includes working with adults and children of all ages, addressing a wide range of needs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, chronic pain, career concerns, disabilities, grief, or relationship issues, I am here to support you. I also have an understanding of the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community and provide specialized support for life transitions, medical issues, multicultural and diversity issues, spirituality, stress, and trauma. My communication style My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a relaxed, friendly, and nonjudgmental atmosphere where you can feel safe to share and process your thoughts. I believe in the power of connection and strive to build a strong relationship with each of my clients. I also believe in the power of laughter and will use my sense of humor when appropriate. My goals for you Goals are individualized and unique to you. Through our conversations, we will identify what the main issues are and what steps can help reduce those symptoms. The goals, then, become a road map to healing. My first session with you During our first session together, I want to hear your story. I will need to complete an assessment, but I will do that as I listen to you share what you have been struggling with. In our sessions, my goal is to listen and provide the support you need to heal and improve your life. I pride myself on creating a space where you can feel understood and valued. Together, we will work towards your personal growth and well-being, addressing the issues that matter most to you.
