Hello, my name is Teri Dortman, LCSW. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges while building hope, healing, and lasting change. My journey into counseling grew from both my faith and my desire to support people who are struggling with mental health concerns, substance use issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I received my education from UMass Global and have specialized training in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Throughout my career, I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, helping clients develop practical coping skills, improve relationships, overcome addiction, manage anxiety and depression, and address past trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals who desire to incorporate their Christian faith into the counseling process, while respecting each client's personal beliefs and goals. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and evidence-based. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe meaningful change happens when people gain insight into their struggles, learn healthier ways to cope, and discover their own strengths and resilience. Whether you are facing emotional challenges, struggling with substance use, experiencing relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I am committed to walking alongside you as you work toward healing and growth. My goal is to help you build practical tools, strengthen your support system, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
