I’m Terri Burns, LMFT, CCPS, owner of Creative Couples and Counseling and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience guiding couples and individuals toward lasting change. Healing is possible with the right structure, support, and compassion. Creative Couples and Counseling was born not only from professional training but also from lived experience. After walking through a painful divorce shaped by betrayal and confusion, I discovered the language and tools that finally made healing possible. That discovery reshaped everything, turning personal heartbreak into a mission to help others find clarity, connection, and hope on their own path. ​ Whether you're trying to reconnect in your relationship, process betrayal, or simply find yourself again, I’ll help you create a plan that makes space for healing with tools that actually work. ​ This work draws from evidence-based frameworks like the Gottman Method, Prepare & Enrich, and APSATS-informed betrayal trauma recovery. But more than that, it’s grounded in empathy and deep-lived insight.
