Hello there! My name is Tessa, and I am so glad you're here. I've been in the "helping profession" for about 10 years now, having graduated with a B.S. in Sociology, with a concentration in Social Work in 2016, and then obtaining my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. I began working as a Crisis Response Counselor post-grad, then dabbled in school-based therapy for awhile, and after getting fully licensed in 2023 I began working at Tennessee Tech University in the Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness. I have worked with all individuals ranging from ages 10-45, and I have experience in helping individuals manage depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, social anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. I want therapy to be a space for you to feel safe and explore how you are really doing. Sometimes the worst place you can be is in your own head, so we might as well make it a nice place to be.
