Introduction

Tessa Galbreath is the owner and therapist of TLC Counseling of Northern Colorado. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to teens (13 and up), adults, couples, and families. Tessa is dedicated to helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges with empathy, insight, and practical tools for lasting change. Tessa’s therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, narrative therapy, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques. She uses these methods to help clients gain self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful shifts in their lives. Tessa offers solution-focused and evidence-based practices to assist clients in developing the tools they need to face life’s challenges. She brings compassion, hope, and humor to every session, fostering a warm and supportive environment where clients can feel safe to be themselves. She believes in the power of connection and is committed to building and nurturing the therapeutic relationship by offering a safe space to explore, heal, and grow. When working with couples and families, Tessa helps improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. With teens and young adults, she provides a nonjudgmental space to navigate identity, stress, and self-esteem while developing emotional resilience and confidence. At the core of her work is the belief that everyone has an innate capacity for growth and healing. Tessa’s goal is to walk alongside her clients with genuine care, humor, and respect, helping them move toward greater clarity, balance, and connection—both within themselves and with others.
