Introduction

I am a proud member of the “ADHD-late diagnosis club”, and an active Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma. In addition to being a military spouse for the past 21 years, I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Nationally Certified School Counselor, licensed in both Washington and Oklahoma. I am also a Registered Play Therapist, Certified AutPlay® Provider, and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. While working in the school system as a mental health professional, I was able to experience firsthand the disconnect between internal and external stakeholders, as well as the development and appearance of neurodivergence throughout all stages of life. After that experience, my focus shifted to wraparound care for all ages across the lifespan. I became a Master’s Level Certified-Neurodiverse Affirming Assessments Provider, specializing in ADHD, Autism, SLDs, and all additional forms of neurodivergence. I pride myself on being authentic, genuine, sarcastic, having no filter, neuroaffirming educational services, generational trauma, and on how to create a life built on authenticity rather than shame and fear. What I do NOT do with assessments: Services for Social Security, neurological evaluations, clinical psychological evaluations, intelligence testing, and medicine management. A licensed and doctoral-level professional MUST deliver all of those services. If this is what you need, I have some potential references that may be of interest to you. If you are looking for a quiet space that is not stimulating, or is more serene and spa-like, that is not me. If you want to learn how to “fix” or “change” yourself or someone else, that is not me. If you want to know more about how to add journaling, meditation, breathing techniques, any other therapeutic “tips or tricks” that you can easily Google nowadays or listen to on the million excellent podcasts out there into your life, again, that is not me; coming here would be a waste of your money. If you want someone to help you understand “why” you (or someone you love) do what you do, or think the way you think, or just to be able to express freely without judgment what is going on in your life, then you have come to the right place. All services are strengths-based, person-centered, and neuroaffirming. Meaning, I do not believe anything is WRONG with you, your perception of the world is different than theirs, and THAT IS OKAY! If you want to learn how to help others better understand you, so you can start living a life that is not surrounded by fear or feeling like you are always “masking” your true feelings, come on board! Just be prepared, I have no filter, and I will call you out. I also promise you never to use the words, “So tell me more about...” or “How did it make you feel?”-those make my own skin crawl! If you want to know what it’s going to be like, just hear the greatest compliment I have ever received came from a teenager, “This is weird (looking all around the room). This is not what I expected. There is no blan therapy stuff here, and you are not wearing a cardigan, holding a clipboard, and drinking a pumpkin spice latte…Can I stay?” If you are looking for something that is the opposite of what you know of the therapy world to be, come on board, and I would love to learn more about your perceptive mind!
