Introduction

You've Googled your symptoms at 2am more times than you'd like to admit. You've maybe been told you're "just anxious," or worse, that nothing is really wrong with you, even though something clearly feels wrong. Maybe you've been given a diagnosis that never quite fit, or no diagnosis at all, just a vague sense that you're too much or not enough. If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know this first: you're not alone in this. I'm Theresa, a licensed clinical social worker who works exclusively with adults living with OCD, panic disorder, and anxiety. Not "a little bit of everything." Just this. That focus means I've spent years getting good at recognizing the versions of these conditions that don't look like the textbook description, the ones that get missed, misdiagnosed, or waved off. If you've been dismissed before, I take that seriously, and I won't do it again. My approach centers on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), the treatments with the strongest evidence behind them for OCD and anxiety disorders. This isn't about talking your way around the fear. It's about building, at your pace, the actual tolerance for uncertainty that lets you get your life back. I won't hand you a worksheet and call it a day. Real change here requires doing the work, and I'll be honest with you about that from the first conversation. What you can expect from me: no judgment, no vague reassurance, and no pretending your experience is smaller than it is. I bring warmth and, when it fits, a sense of humor, because taking the work seriously doesn't mean we can't also be human about it. Sessions are available virtually four days a week and in person one day a week in the Atlanta/Decatur area. If you're ready to stop managing this alone and start doing something that actually targets it, let's talk. A consultation call is the easiest way to find out if we're the right fit. Let's face your fears, together. šŸ“ Serving GA, FL and DE / Telehealth & In-person
