Introduction

CARELON, LA CARE, SFHP - KAISER, HEALTH NET, OPTUM, MEDI-CAL! Searching for an anxiety, depression, trauma therapist near me -- landed you here with me. I provide virtual therapy for individuals and families living all over CA and in NY. While you're visiting, please let me tell you... I love Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. "Affectionately" known as Cog-B or CBT, it actually obliterates the insecure thoughts, feelings and behaviors that hold humans back. It's based on one of the oldest stories around, simplified, proven to work. The oldest story? Yes!- Its principles are ALWAYS WORKING, PERFECTLY -- as they are right at this very moment within each and every one of us. We're always using CBT's brain altering mega-powers even if we don't realize it. So we might as well use them rightly. CBT -- used aright -- helps us create ever-lasting great habits by replacing the old and worn out. Following are examples of automatic schemas that can be light-heartedly replaced by CBT: Are you? Forever awed by the one who doesn't feel the same way about you? Never fully investing in your own life plan? Bored, lonely, stuck on fantasizing, floundering... too embarrassed / scared to take a leap. Feel empty one minute, full of yourself the next, constantly comparing yourself to others. Made bad choices. Created a bit of chaos along the way, still finding yourself in its midst. Lost so much that you don't quite trust your own instincts. Nobody gets you. Waiting for the perfect mentor or miracle? When it doesn't show up, do you tend to self-soothe as the life of the party on the path to obliteration?- barely piecing together what you might have said, the next headachy day? Knee-jerk react to the bewilderment of workmates and loved ones? You may fall, exhausted, into bed at night, perhaps never too tired to rail at your lousy luck. Riveted on everything you said and did wrong during the day! Bashing yourself and others -- until blissful sleep finally comes. Only to pick up the habitual falsehoods without missing a beat tomorrow. Grant yourself the freedom to explore yourself from a different lens. How? Realize that what we label as symptoms resulting from trauma are TEMPORARY. Temporary, until the spark of LOVE of SELF begins to uproot fear when it seeds-- and it invariably does in good therapy. Love versus fear! We can divide the world into these two feelings. Fear is self-sabotage. Learn to choose love. Only then will the most hardcore TEMPORARY "realities" aka symptoms change. Change can seemingly happen in a heartbeat when backed by a flood of emotion based on the surety of newfound insight gained in therapy. That's what quick-change takes, the emotion backing it! Or it can happen over time as you dip a toe into CBT waters. Either way, it happens when you exude more willingness than not to receive the best, or at least a promise to no longer overthink about how the best might happen! The space of a session lets me demonstrate how CBT's simply brilliant "short n sweet" repetitiveness works. Try something new. As CBT inserts itself, it naturally lends itself to enjoyment. Therapy must be fun for new HEALTHY habits to stick. C'mon, change your lifestyle! I'm fun to co-create "the new" with, while at the same time my sessions are gentle and subtle. So subtle that I promise you'll barely notice you've told me what's realllly eating at you. Embarrassment is senseless, incited by fear. As Self-Love grows, embarrassment and guilt miraculously fade. Feeling more comfortable in your own skin is a byproduct of all good therapy. Change your thoughts to change your behaviors. Or change your behaviors to change your thoughts. Guaranteed to work? Yes, the oldest story is "right now" at this very minute working, remember? It is always working! - it can't help but work. But is it working to your benefit, or detriment? How quickly will you see a change once you embrace CBT to correct your already established course? That depends on your BELIEF in your NEW thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The more intent and content you are about manifesting new goals, the more CBT helps to automatically erase rotten to the core beliefs. Why not let me help guide you in forming new brain paths that will change your automatic reflexes and emotions, your autonomic internal reactions. Still skeptical? Well, at least come and try to grant yourself the TENDENCY to a charmed life. Caveat: The more fun you have witnessing even small goals come true, the better the chance you'll incorporate CBT concepts for the rest of your life. Continual practice creates a pleasure center inside your brain. Like a drug, the positive toolbox YOU CREATE (how cool is that!) morphs into your automatic pilot. Unlike a drug, the effects will be life-lasting and you'll never wake up with a hangover. Maybe you'd like three wishes granted? Okay, so come with three goals. Bienvenidos! Just come with an open mind. Before you leave me, I'd like you to know: I have experience with internal and external stressors of entrepreneurship as well as with the corporate world -- from developing a business plan to founding a multi-faceted operation tending to kids, parents and aging family members. Highlighting drug and alcohol and other addictive abuse, and supporting children and adults with physical and other limitations - and those who've been diagnosed, or haven't, with Autism is also part of my life path. Helping to ensure that socially awkward teens and young adults get into college, and remain there. . . and HELPING TO INCREASE THE DIGNITY AND CONFIDENCE OF THOSE WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR MEDI-CAL INSURANCE... SERVING YOU IS MY GREATEST PLEASURE.
