Introduction

I am the founder of Striving Higher Counseling and Striving Higher Ministries. I am an Undergraduate from Kent State University with a Dual BA in Psychology and Justice, and a graduate of Southeastern University with two Master’s degrees—Ministerial Leadership (concentrating on Leadership Development) and Professional Counseling —and a member of the Alpha Chi Honors Society. I believe meaningful counseling happens when people feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to become brave about growth. Rather than forcing you into a rigid model, I work to understand the person sitting in front of me and tailor counseling to your needs, goals, story, and values. “People are not problems that need fixing. People are image-bearers with dignity, a story worth understanding, and the capacity for meaningful transformation.” ~Tommy Luster
