Introduction

I frequently work with students, young professionals, and new parents looking for help with various conditions, especially ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Sometimes the issue is simply professional burnout, and I help patients navigate these complex situations as well. If you have experienced subpar mental health treatment, felt rushed through superficial appointments, or have only seen a primary care doctor, then we may be a good fit. I tend to spend more time with patients than most, which is a major benefit of not going through insurance. I work with patients age 18+ looking for an experienced, personable psychiatrist. I specialize in diagnosing and treating ADHD, anxiety disorders (including OCD) and depression. I also work with medically complex patients, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and substance use, especially among professionals looking for discreet treatment. My approach combines medication management and therapy - not impersonal five minute video calls. Reaching out for mental health treatment is a difficult and humbling experience, especially for the first time. You may be concerned about being judged or mistreated. If you are finally ready to take control of your mental well-being, then please reach out, and let's get to work. Check out the blog on my website for informative posts about mental health. My personal website is www.thomasscarymd.com where you can learn more about my practice.
