Introduction

Tillie founded Hearthstone Counseling to give children a place where healing feels like play. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language from Gardner-Webb University, and a Master of Social Work from UNC Charlotte. Her work has been child focused ever since, with an emphasis in infant mental health and adoptions. Her areas of competency include play therapy, attachment focused therapy, adoption, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Her approach is collaborative and educative, with regular parent sessions to review progress and goals together. Tillie is also registered to provide telehealth to South Carolina families.
