I work primarily with adult men who appear steady and capable on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected in their personal lives. Many carry constant internal pressure — racing thoughts, irritability, tension, or difficulty sleeping — that shows up at home as withdrawal, short tempers, or emotional distance. Some cope through numbing or escape: overworking, scrolling, drinking, or other compulsive patterns. Over time, these habits strain relationships and increase stress rather than relieve it. With Hazelden-trained experience in addiction treatment, I provide direct, grounded accountability while addressing the underlying anxiety, trauma, and emotional patterns driving these behaviors. We focus not just on stopping a habit, but on reducing the internal pressure beneath it. Using a psychodynamic approach, I help men understand the roots of their anxiety and relational patterns so they can respond with more steadiness, clarity, and intention. I provide therapy for men in Round Rock, Austin, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Dallas, Houston, and online across Texas.
