AGES: Pre-Teens Teens Young Adults Adults Older Adults COUNSELING FOCUS: * Life transitions and adjustment * Personal growth and self-development * Stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation * Parenting relationships * Substance use, addiction, and recovery I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) in Texas under the supervision of Dr. Shenan Spraberry, LPC-S, and a Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I believe counseling should be a space where you can be honest about where you are, explore what may be getting in the way, and develop practical ways to move forward. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and intentional. I work with adolescents and adults navigating substance use and recovery, life transitions, personal growth, relationship concerns, and other challenges that may affect their well-being or ability to move forward in the ways they desire. Together, we explore the experiences, relationships, beliefs, and patterns that influence how you think, feel, and respond while identifying strengths and developing strategies that support meaningful change. My counseling approach incorporates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), while recognizing that no two people experience life in exactly the same way. I believe effective counseling should respond to the person rather than requiring the person to fit a predetermined approach. My professional background spans counseling, behavioral health, and education, with experience as a school counselor, intervention counselor, substance use counselor, and university counseling faculty member. I also hold a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. These experiences have shaped my understanding that the challenges we face rarely exist in isolation; our relationships, environments, experiences, and the systems around us can all influence our well-being. Most importantly, I see counseling as a relationship. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you gain clarity, recognize your strengths, challenge patterns that may no longer serve you, and make intentional choices that support the life you want to create. Whether you are working through a specific concern or simply recognize that something needs to change, we can work together toward growth that is healthy, meaningful, and sustainable.
