At times, our usual ways of understanding ourselves no longer seem to fit. Becoming a parent, moving between countries, feeling overwhelmed by a mind that notices more than it can easily organize can all leave us feeling both capable and strangely uncertain. These moments often invite us into a deeper conversation with ourselves rather than simply asking us to solve a problem. I'm an American LCSW based in Sweden, serving clients across Europe and the US. My training includes an MA from Yale, an MSW from the University of Chicago, training at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, and an Advanced Psychotherapy Fellowship. My work goes beneath symptom management into what actually shapes a life — early relational patterns, identity, the self-image formed in childhood that quietly runs the show. I use psychoanalytic and relational frameworks to help clients understand not just what is happening, but why, and what else might be possible. Sessions are online. If you have spent a long time feeling like too much, or not quite enough, or simply not seen in the way you needed to be — that is exactly the kind of thing this work is for. You do not need to have it figured out before you reach out. Most people don't. What matters is that something in you is ready to look a little more closely at your own life.
