Therapeutic Approach & Focus Areas My approach to counseling is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I work to support clients in developing effective coping strategies, increasing self-awareness, and identifying personal strengths to enhance overall functioning and emotional well-being. Therapy provides a structured and supportive space to explore concerns of any scope or complexity, with the goal of fostering clarity, emotional regulation, and sustainable growth. Clients commonly seek services to address anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, grief and loss, stress, burnout, and low self-esteem. I also work with individuals navigating life transitions, adjustment disorders, work-related stress, behavioral concerns, boundary-setting difficulties, and challenges related to coping skills and emotional regulation. Additional areas of focus include women’s mental health, self-esteem and identity development, interpersonal difficulties, and communication challenges**. I provide counseling for individuals and couples experiencing relationship distress, communication difficulties, relational conflict, and patterns that interfere with healthy functioning and connection. Treatment is individualized and informed by each client’s unique needs, goals, and presenting concerns. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, and Qualified Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in the state of Florida, and I am also licensed to practice in the state of Maryland. I bring over 20 years of experience in counseling, along with extensive experience in social and community-based services. My work is grounded in evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and a commitment to providing quality clinical care. My goal is to support clients in achieving stability, resilience, and improved quality of life through thoughtful and intentional therapeutic work—promoting renewed perspective and mental wellness.
