Every January, people promise themselves a fresh start. Most of those promises don't make it to February. I named my practice January Soul because I believe in the other kind of beginning, the kind you actually live. Your January doesn't have to be a date on the calendar. It just has to be the moment you decide it's yours. Maybe you've been carrying something for a while now. Something heavy enough that you've learned to smile around it, to keep going, to tell everyone you're fine. If part of you is quietly tired of fine, you're already in the right place. I'm Trish, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of January Soul. When we work together, you're not a problem to be solved. You're a whole person, shaped by your relationships, your culture, and your history, and all of it is welcome here. I hold a space that's warm, unhurried, and free of judgment, where your voice leads and healing happens at your pace. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy University. I also stay rooted in community mental health work, because I believe care should be within reach for everyone, not just those who already know how to find it. Reaching out takes courage, and you don't need the right words or the whole story figured out. You just have to begin.
