Introduction

Parallel Minds Counseling & Consultation was founded by clinicians with a shared vision...Therapy should be accessible, supportive, and personalized. We created this practice to offer a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and understood—without judgment. Our name, “Parallel Minds,” reflects the idea that healing happens when someone walks alongside you, offering guidance, insight, and support without taking over your path. We view therapy as a collaborative journey. Our role is not to “fix” you, but to help you better understand yourself, develop tools for growth, and move forward with confidence. Trisha King, LMSW is a Michigan-based Licensed Master Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting youth and adults. She earned her BSW from Spring Arbor University and MSW from Western Michigan University, and holds a Certificate in Psychology in Play Therapy from Capella University. Trisha specializes in anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and life transitions, using a collaborative, multi-modality approach tailored to each client. Trisha is committed to creating a supportive, client-centered space. Her work is informed not only by professional training—including past certifications in anxiety, ADHD, and autism—but also by personal experience as a parent of children with diverse needs. Trisha also has experience in perinatal mental health and has led trainings in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing.
