Introduction

Hi, I'm Tru Jamison, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) dedicated to creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow. My passion for counseling comes from a genuine desire to help people navigate life's challenges while reconnecting with their strengths and building the life they want for themselves. I work with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and substance use. I also enjoy supporting LGBTQ+ clients and individuals who are exploring identity, healing from difficult experiences, or working toward lasting personal growth. I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply connected to our physical health, relationships, culture, environment, and overall lifestyle. Together, we'll explore not only the challenges that bring you to therapy but also the factors that influence your mental wellness as a whole. I believe healing happens when we care for the entire person, not just the symptoms. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I primarily draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, person-centered techniques, mindfulness practices, and other evidence-based interventions that align with your goals and values. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help clients identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, my goal is to walk alongside you with curiosity, authenticity, and respect. Therapy isn't about having all the answers, it's about creating opportunities for healing, growth, and discovering that change is possible.
