When appropriate and supportive, True utilizes expressive play and art tools like fidgets, coloring, toys, or games to assist in building rapport and in the therapeutic process. True has a passion for supporting parents and those who work with children and adolescents. This support can look like validation and understanding or providing education and tools in areas related to age/stage, unknown triggers, big emotions, and beyond. True utilizes their more than 10 years of education and experience in human development, learning and behavioral challenges, ADHD symptoms, sensory struggles, and parenting practices to provide holistic approaches to a variety of concerns. True has a strong belief that when parents feel successful, kids feel successful. When working with True, you will notice an emphasis on a strengths-based process, trauma-informed perspectives, and a tailored approach to meeting their clients where they are, and as they are. A priority of their work is to build judgment-free therapeutic relationship where tearful moments are always welcome and laughter is highly encouraged. Outside of work, you'll find True creating art and function in every area of their home, watching the clouds, singing with friends, acting in local theater, out at a local coffee shop or market, or in the middle of a dance floor. Please Note: True is currently undergoing the arduous process of legally changing their name in the professional sphere. You may see either/or both names, or iterations of them, around during this process. True's clinical licensure is currently listed under Aubrey Adain.
