Introduction

Therapy for adults (18+) navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and the tender work of becoming more fully yourself. I work with creatives, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people who are drawn to embodied, nature-connected, and spiritually-affirming approaches to healing. If you're interested in therapy that honors both your analytical mind and your felt sense of knowing, you might be in the right place. Are you carrying patterns that no longer serve you? Do you feel disconnected from parts of yourself you once knew? Are you ready to reclaim your sense of agency and wholeness? Is your body asking for attention that talk therapy alone hasn't addressed? Let's work together to help you find your way back to yourself—to presence, creativity, and the life that feels most truly yours. --- HOW WE WORK TOGETHER I practice from a trauma-informed, somatic, and relational approach. This means we attend not just to what you think, but to what you feel, sense, and experience in your body. Healing happens when we can be present with all of who we are—the parts that hurt, the parts that hope, and the parts we've set aside to survive. My work integrates evidence-based modalities including: • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma processing • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to work with the different parts of yourself • Somatic and body-based approaches to help you reconnect with felt experience • Mindfulness-based interventions for grounding and present-moment awareness • Cognitive-Behavioral techniques to identify and shift patterns that keep you stuck • Expressive and creative approaches for those who process through art, movement, and metaphor I also work with identity—helping you see the unconscious beliefs and narratives that shape how you move through the world. Together, we identify where you've lost your sense of empowerment and agency, and we work to reclaim it. This approach combines somatic awareness with cognitive exploration to help you recognize when you're living from an old story rather than your present truth. You might tell stories about what's been happening in your life. You might follow body sensations and notice what arises. You might work with imagery, parts, or memories. We might use EMDR to process trauma that your body still carries. We will listen deeply—to what you say, and to what your whole self is communicating. My focus is on creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported to explore what needs attention. I am here to walk with you—not to fix you, but to help you remember and reclaim the wholeness that has always been yours. --- WHO I WORK WITH I specialize in working with: • Adults navigating trauma and its impacts (including complex trauma, PTSD, developmental trauma) • LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity, transition, and belonging • Creative professionals and artists experiencing blocks, burnout, or disconnection from their creative self • People drawn to nature-based, embodied, or spiritually-informed healing • Those seeking therapy that integrates mind, body, and spirit • Individuals feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, depression, or self-criticism • Anyone who has tried traditional talk therapy and felt something was missing This work is for you if: • You're ready to do the deeper work of understanding yourself • You're open to exploring how your body holds experience and wisdom • You're willing to be curious about the parts of yourself you've been avoiding • You want a therapist who will meet you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis This work may not be the right fit if: • You're looking for advice or solutions rather than a process of self-discovery • You prefer a strictly symptom-focused or protocol-driven approach • You're in acute crisis requiring immediate stabilization (I can provide referrals) --- ABOUT ME — MY APPROACH TO HEALING I come to this work as someone who deeply values slowness, presence, and the wisdom that lives in our bodies and in the natural world. I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about remembering what is whole. I have been working in the mental health field for over fifteen years, supporting people through trauma, identity exploration, creative blocks, and the tender process of becoming. My own journey has taught me that transformation happens not through force, but through presence—through being willing to meet what is here with curiosity and compassion. I am particularly drawn to working with people who feel drawn to approaches that honor the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Many of my clients are interested in mindfulness, embodiment, nature connection, and creative expression as part of their healing. If you identify as someone who engages with magic, ritual, intuition, or spirituality in your life, you will find space for that here. I am committed to creating an affirming, inclusive practice. I welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, spiritual practices, and ways of being. I learn from and honor the wisdom of LGBTQ+ communities, anti-oppressive frameworks, and the recognition that our healing is always in relationship to the systems and structures around us. In my life outside of sessions, I engage in creative practices, tend to community connections, and stay close to the rhythms of the natural world. I believe the work we do in therapy is inseparable from how we live—and I practice what I offer. --- MY TRAINING & CREDENTIALS Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Massachusetts MA in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, Lesley University BFA in Painting, minor in Art History and Dance, Plymouth State University My approach is informed by expressive arts, somatic psychology, trauma theory, and the recognition that healing happens in relationship—to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us. --- SESSIONS & HOW WE WORK **Extended Sessions: A Deeper Container for Healing** I primarily offer extended sessions of 2-3 hours—a format that creates space for truly transformative therapeutic work. These extended sessions allow healing to unfold in its own time, without the constraints of the standard therapy hour. You can fully arrive, settle into the work, move through layers of processing, and integrate what emerges—all within a single, unrushed container. Research on intensive therapy formats shows that extended sessions provide faster symptom relief, deeper processing, and improved outcomes compared to traditional weekly sessions. When trauma work is given more time and space, clients often experience a sense of psychological safety and engagement that accelerates healing in profound ways. **Why extended sessions create deeper transformation:** In a 2-3 hour session, we can: • Move beyond "what can we fit into 55 minutes" and let the work breathe • Integrate multiple modalities in one session—EMDR for trauma processing, somatic work to help your body release what it's holding, IFS to work with your parts, and creative expression • Work with EMDR through complete phases without rushing, allowing your nervous system to fully process and integrate • Give your system time to ease into the therapeutic space and ease back out—honoring the transitions • Process memories, patterns, or identity work that needs room to unfold completely • Create a retreat-like experience of focused, immersive healing This format is particularly powerful for trauma work, identity exploration that needs space to emerge, and times when you're working through something that feels too significant to break into weekly fragments. Many clients find that one extended session can accomplish what might take weeks or months in traditional therapy—not because we're rushing, but because we're allowing the natural rhythms of healing to guide the pace. **Standard-length sessions are also available** For those who prefer or need a more traditional structure, I also offer 45-minute and 55-minute sessions. These can be scheduled weekly or as-needed and are effective for ongoing support, maintenance work, or for those whose schedules or budgets make extended sessions less feasible. Standard sessions use the same integrative, trauma-informed approach—just in a shorter timeframe. --- INSURANCE & INVESTMENT **Extended Sessions (2-3 hours):** For clients with BCBS or HNE insurance: We can bill the first hour to your insurance (you pay your standard copay or coinsurance), and the additional time is private pay at $165/hour. • 2-hour extended session: Your insurance copay + $165 • 3-hour extended session: Your insurance copay + $330 For private pay clients: • 2-hour session: $330 • 3-hour session: $495 **Standard-Length Sessions:** Insurance (BCBS or HNE): You pay your copay or coinsurance according to your plan benefits Private pay: • 45-minute session: $140 • 55-minute session: $165 **Format:** In-person sessions in Northampton, MA, or telehealth for clients located in Massachusetts and Vermont **Frequency:** Extended sessions can be scheduled as-needed, planned as a series, or combined with periodic standard sessions for ongoing support. We'll find the rhythm that serves your healing best. --- GETTING STARTED If you're curious about working together, the first step is a free 15-20 minute phone consultation. This is a chance for us to talk about what you're seeking, for you to get a sense of my approach, and for us both to see if it feels like a good fit. There's no pressure or obligation. If we're not the right match, I'm happy to offer referrals to other therapists who might be.
