Introduction

Finding a therapist can feel deeply personal. You’re not simply looking for someone with the right training: you’re looking for someone you can feel comfortable with, someone who will understand what matters to you, and someone you can trust with parts of your life that may be difficult to share. My hope is that this bio gives you a snapshot of who I am as a therapist and what you might experience in our work together. Therapy with me is collaborative. I want there to be space for curiosity, honesty, humor, discomfort, reflection, and change. I will challenge you when it may be helpful, while also respecting your autonomy and your understanding of your own life. I have a strong passion for helping individuals and couples understand what changes or shifts they may need in order to move through the challenges that brought them to therapy. My approach to achieve is through a person-centered lens. You are inviting me into your experiences, relationships, challenges, and hopes, and I take that responsibility seriously. Rather than assuming I know what is best for you, I want therapy to be something we build collaboratively. From that foundation, I integrate techniques and concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. I don’t believe every person should be expected to fit into one therapeutic approach. Instead, I work to adapt therapy to your needs, identity, and cultural.
