Introduction

Our Clinicians Valcia McGann, LMFT- Founder & Clinical Supervisor Hi, I’m Val, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual and couples therapy for adults in Minnesota. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in cycles of anxiety and self-doubt, even when their lives appear successful on the surface. I’m drawn to the deeper layers of experience — the internal pressures, relational patterns, and expectations that shape how we feel and how we show up. I specialize in working with high-achieving adults in their 30s who struggle with burnout, anxiety, and self-esteem concerns. Through a collaborative, trauma-informed approach, I help clients build self-trust, emotional clarity, confidence, and lasting internal stability. My work integrates evidence-based therapy with a relational style that supports insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful change over time. Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that contribute to stress, disconnection, or emotional strain, and work toward greater steadiness, self-understanding, and more fulfilling relationships — both with yourself and with others. Brett Olson, Pre- Licensed Professional Counselor Hi, I’m Brett, a pre-licensed professional counselor at Daylight Therapy working under the clinical supervision of Valcia McGann. Life can feel incredibly heavy when you’re fighting to feel accepted, both by the world and yourself. Whether you are struggling with depression or seeking a deeper understanding of your LGBTQ+ identity, you don’t have to carry that weight alone. As your therapist, I provide an affirming, supportive environment where processing your true self is the starting point. I have a particular focus working with the LGBTQ+ community and adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity-related stress, and challenges related to self acceptance and emotional well-being. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and person-centered theory when working with you to help create achievable goals that help you feel more empowered. Currently with all of the challenges we are facing in Minnesota, I am hoping to make therapy more accessible to everyone. To help you get started, I offer a free consultation call, and additionally, your first full therapy session will be free of charge.
