Valerie earned her B.S. magna cum laude in Exercise Science and Nutrition before spending seven years at Zocdoc, where her work improving access to healthcare inspired her to pursue a career in mental health. While earning her master's degree in social work, she maintained a 4.0 GPA while working full-time and gained clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through Playworks and JAIA. Valerie takes a warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach to therapy, helping clients better understand the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She tailors treatment to each individual, using play-based interventions with younger clients and evidence-based strategies to help adolescents and adults build coping skills, improve relationships, and create lasting change. Valerie believes therapy should move at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful, with a strong emphasis on trust, practical tools, and sustainable growth. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, skiing, painting, and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and dog.
