Introduction

You might be feeling mentally paralyzed by everything you have to do each day, like no matter how hard you try, it’s never enough. You may struggle to make space for true self-care or feel weighed down by anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, or the lasting ache of loss and grief. I work with patients ages 6 and up — children, teens, and adults — helping them untangle these overwhelming feelings and move toward a life that feels manageable and meaningful. I am a fully licensed psychotherapist, with over 9 years of experience with patients. I really enjoy this career, as I get to connect with and truly help people in need. Outside of the office, I can be found spending time with my family, practicing hot yoga, traveling, seeing movies, and finding the next best espresso stand. I am a Clinical Fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). I hold a Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. My WA license is LF 61146103. For session fees, I am out of network. I can of course provide you with a superbill. And, I know submitting claims to insurance yourself can be a challenge, so I partner with Thrizer! It's a simple and secure third party who will submit the claim for you. After your deductible is met, you get the reimbursements right away, no waiting for a check in the mail. Their fee is 5% of my fee. I offer in-person and virtual sessions. Patients must be 13 years or older for virtual sessions. Please email or call me with any questions, scheduling, or a free 15 minute consultation. I'd love to work with you. Sessions with her have been grounding, clarifying, and comforting. Having a safe place to sit with my raw feelings and thoughts, and being able to speak them, knowing that I will be heard but never be judged - these have been invaluable. Valerie exudes warmth, and she is a steady, reliable presence that supports my exploration of my identity, emotions, fears, and hopes at my own pace and rhythm. If you are seeking support - whether you are hurting or you feel lost or stuck, or all of the above - I highly recommend Valerie." ~Anonymous
