Hi, I’m Valerie. I’m a therapist who believes in meeting you exactly where you are: no masks, no expectations. Just honesty, curiosity, and care. And let's be honest, the world is incredibly tough right now and a lot of us are feeling like we have to "mask" just to get through our days. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can breathe. You’re welcome to come to session planning to be comfortable. I’m often in my socks and will most likely be sitting cross-legged in my chair or on the floor. You’re welcome to do the same. I believe that when our bodies can relax, our spirit can follow. I work with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, and the messy (and sometimes beautiful) process of figuring out who they are and what they want. Even if they’re not quite sure yet. I also support children ages 4 and up through play therapy, helping them feel safe, seen, and supported in their own unique journeys. As someone who’s part of the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent, I understand how important it is to feel understood without having to explain every detail. I bring that lens into the room, along with compassion, a little humor, and the deep belief that healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. My style is warm and collaborative. Whether we’re working through trauma using EMDR or exploring the different parts of you through parts work, my goal is always the same: to walk alongside you, not ahead of you. You set the pace. You bring your whole self. I’ll bring mine too. Before becoming a therapist, I was a licensed Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher. That background still shapes the way I show up: with patience, playfulness, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported along their journey.
