Introduction

Hi, I’m Vassiliki! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D) in New York, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) offering virtual therapy to adults and young adults. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, attachment and relationship concerns, perfectionism, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. I’m trained in EMDR and take an integrative, trauma-informed approach that considers both the mind and the nervous system. As both a therapist and hot yoga teacher, I’m especially interested in the connection between our thoughts, emotions, belief systems, and physiological responses. My work incorporates EMDR, ACT, IFS, Attachment Based Therapy, CBT, mindfulness, somatic techniques, and other approaches based on each client’s individual needs. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. Therapy with me is a space to better understand the patterns that have helped you survive, recognize what may no longer be serving you, and develop a stronger and more authentic relationship with yourself. I believe meaningful change looks different for everyone, and I work collaboratively with each client to define what that means for them.
