Introduction

My path to psychiatry didn't exactly start in a classroom. My dad struggled with substance use disorder growing up, and my mom needed a lot of support — so by the time I got to nursing school, I already had a pretty solid background in "holding it together while quietly falling apart." Relatable, right? As a multiethnic woman in healthcare, I've also been on the receiving end of dismissal, bias, and the particular exhaustion of having to over-explain yourself just to be taken seriously. That experience shaped how I practice. I don't make people work that hard here. I started You Belong Integrative Mental Wellness because I wanted to create something I didn't always have access to — a place where you don't have to code switch, perform wellness, or convince anyone that what you're feeling is real. You deserve to have your story heard. You deserve clarity — in your care and in your costs. Our pricing is always transparent and upfront. I am private pay/cash pay. Accept all major credit/HSA/FSA/Debit cards. Super-bills provided upon request. Insurances accepted Highmark BCBS and Aetna. Patients with Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with Health Savings Account (HSA), or Out-of-Network (OON) benefits may be eligible for reimbursement — we recommend contacting your insurance company to verify your out-of network mental health benefits prior to your first appointment.
