Successful therapy is a process of reconnection — to abandoned or rejected parts of ourselves, to our loved ones, to our communities, and to the world. We can learn to experience more aliveness, joy, and love for ourselves and others. We can learn to create and embody a feeling of internal safety that allows us to show up authentically for a life we are excited to live. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and craft an approach suited to each individual’s unique background and needs. I utilize traditional talk therapy and behavioral therapy, while integrating somatic approaches to address trauma and stress stored in the physical body. My perspective is grounded in ecopsychology and an acknowledgement of interconnectedness. I am trained in integrated somatic therapy for trauma, and I draw from a variety of somatic approaches including applied polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing, and sensorimotor psychotherapy. I utilize these along with a psychodynamic perspective and tools from CBT, DBT, and ACT to help address depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relational issues. If these words or offerings resonate with you, please contact me. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults in all stages of life.
