Introduction

Hi, I’m Dr. Bhatia, a licensed clinical psychologist with 14 years of experience working with high-functioning adults, couples, and first-generation and bicultural individuals. I'm based in Naperville, IL and offer telehealth across 40+ states through my PSYPACT credential. My clients often look like they have it together on the outside. They're successful, capable, and doing all the right things, but they still feel stuck, anxious, or off in ways they can't quite explain. That disconnect is exactly what we work on. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, and relationship issues. I love working with clients on figuring out who they are underneath all the expectations - their own, their family's, their culture's - and how they can live a life they actually want, not just what they think they're supposed to want. For couples, I'm certified in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on both change and acceptance in the relationship. I work best with motivated couples who are not looking for a referee, but rather are ready to do the work to understand one another better and break old patterns. My style is direct, warm, and practical. I don't do therapy that feels like talking in circles. We figure out what's actually going on, try approaches that fit your real life, and build from there. I draw from CBT, emotion-focused therapy, and DBT depending on what's most useful for you. I'm private pay only and can provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I offer a free 15-minute consultation call so you can get a sense of how I work before committing. Schedule the consultation call on my website at www.drvickiebhatia.com
