I am a psychodynamically or "depth"-oriented psychologist who returned to the mental health field following a rewarding career in health, education, media, and the arts. The breadth of my professional and life experience allows me to connect with people from many walks of life. My work with patients is founded on forging a relational alliance that enables us to collaborate on working through presenting issues. Tenets that inform my practice include the belief that everyone has the capacity to change if they wish; that one can build awareness of patterns and relational dynamics that no longer serve them and develop new ways of interacting; and that it is possible to recover from, and live alongside, painful experiences, both present and past. Through therapeutic integration, one can move forward to live a rich and meaningful life. My areas of clinical specialization and interest include traumatic grief, loss, personality, intercultural issues, intergenerational trauma, and interpersonal dynamics. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and most graciously welcome elders (65+) and college students alike. With a Telehealth practice located in Northern California, I am available to work with clients located anywhere in the state of California. (Note that the practice for which I work, Borderlands Therapy Collaborative, is based in TX.)
