Hi, I'm Vina, founder of Kasama Mental Health, PLLC, a trauma-informed private practice based in Washington State. I work with adults and couples who are navigating trauma, attachment wounds, identity shifts, and patterns that feel difficult to change through insight alone. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and deeply committed to growth—yet still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected in their bodies or relationships. My role is not to diagnose or correct you, but to come alongside you with care, curiosity, and respect for the strategies that once helped you survive. I believe the therapeutic relationship we co-create is where the transformation happens. We gently explore where you feel stuck in life while also calling forth the strengths and gifts within and around you, as well as looking at the systems that shape and impact your life Change begins to happen when your nervous system experiences safety to slow down, notice and respond differently. My work integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and expressive arts–informed practices. Together, these approaches support healing through the nervous system, relationship, and creative expression—especially when words alone are not enough. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and holistic. I integrate: - Body-based approaches that attend to the nervous system and somatic experience - Parts-based work that honors the protective roles different parts of you play - An attachment lens that helps make sense of relational patterns and emotional responses - Expressive arts–informed practices (such as movement, imagery, writing, or creative reflection) to support meaning-making, integration, and emotional expression beyond words In practice, this means we gently explore where you feel stuck while also calling forth the strengths, wisdom, and resources already within and around you. We make space for thoughts, emotions, and body sensations with curiosity and compassion, moving at a pace your system can trust. I also hold a decolonizing and anti-oppressive perspective, recognizing that our suffering and healing are shaped by culture, history, family systems, and larger social forces—not just individual psychology. My fees are $120 for individuals and $150 for couples. I currently do not accept insurance but I do have a few available sliding scale spots.
