Introduction

After years of working with children, families, and individuals, I came to recognize that every person carries within them an innate source of strength—something they are born with, even when life’s challenges make it hard to see. As a therapist, I view my role not as someone who “fixes” others, but as a guide who helps uncover, nurture, and strengthen the inner resilience that already exists. Through therapy, I support individuals in developing emotional problem-solving skills, healthier ways of relating to themselves and others, and tools to navigate life’s most difficult moments. I founded Innate Strength Counseling to provide culturally sensitive, compassionate care to people from all walks of life. Every individual brings their own unique lived experiences into the therapy space—including our practice's secure virtual therapy environment—and it is our responsibility to honor those experiences with understanding, empathy, and respect. At Innate Strength, we believe therapy is not just about addressing problems—it’s about recognizing potential, building resilience, and walking alongside people as they reclaim their sense of strength and well-being. In addition to direct therapy, Innate Strength also offers consulting services for organizations on topics such as child mental health, school de-escalation strategies, and staff training in mental health concepts. We are equally committed to pre-licensing supervision services that cultivate the next generation of therapists, ensuring they enter the field with competence, confidence, and compassion.
