Our personal & professional experiences, education and additional trainings allow us to offer expertise in the areas outlined below in our bios. We also like to have a little fun - counseling/therapy doesn't have to only be serious and heavy. Both Vivian & Melissa are personable, utilize a client-focus approach and have positive attitudes that radiate to others. We offer confidential and compassionate care designed to support mental health, strengthen relationships, and foster personal growth through every season of life. Our approach is super friendly & productive! ******************************************************************** Vivian Cook's Bio: Howdy! I am the Owner, Licensed Professional Counselor/Therapist, Clinical Supervisor in training and Chaos Coordinator here at Cook Counseling & Therapy. I have worked in social services for over 20 years and have been a practicing counselor/therapist for 13 years with over a decade of those in private practice. I feel honored and privileged to be able to partner with such amazing folks. For clients who wish to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into the counseling process, I offer faith-inclusive counseling as an option. This allows us to integrate your values, faith, and personal beliefs into the healing journey in a way that feels authentic and supportive. If not, that’s completely okay, too — our work together will always be guided by what matters most to you. I also work with individuals and their family members who are navigating the challenges of addiction - including pornography, alcohol and other substances, gambling, and nicotine. My approach is nonjudgmental and solution-focused, helping clients build insight, developing and strengthening coping skills, and creating lasting change rooted in your personal values and self-respect. Therapeutic Expertise: • Christian/Faith Inclusive Therapy • Couples (pre-marital, marital conflict/concerns, separation/divorce, blending families) • Addictions • Military Members & their Families (including PTSD, trauma, bereavement, separation, deployment) • Life/Relationship Goals Availability (by appointment only): In-person sessions locally for teens & adults and telehealth sessions available to anyone residing in Wisconsin. I am currently accepting new clients! I have day and evening session times open - it's easy, just send me an appointment request or message to contact you. Please also contact me if you are interested in learning more about the speaking engagements, Lunch & Learns, and workshops I offer on a variety of mental health topics. Let's take the next step together! ******************************************************************** Melissa McAllister's Bio: Hey there! My name is Melissa.
