I've been dedicated to the field of victim services for the last eight years. I possess a passion for walking with individuals through the darkest times, engaging with victims and survivors of trauma and first responders. Providing trauma informed care is my priority. I have extensive training in the neurobiology of trauma and crisis intervention. I have the pleasure of serving as the instructor of domestic violence and trauma-informed-policing at a metro police academy. I am currently earning a Masters of Social Work Degree with a Clinical Specialization at the University of Kansas, and completing practicum at Existential Family Therapy. I specialize in dynamics of domestic violence, immigration & refugee experience, and vicarious trauma to first responders. I have a heart for advocacy and ensuring you do not go through hardship alone. As a therapist intern, it is my wish to help you create a path to live the life you deserve: one that is safe, happy, and full of hope. I’m a believer in fostering healthy relationships and deep connections. *Wendy is completing their student internship under the license of the University of Kansas and is supervised by Lea Ann Robinson, LSCSW.
