Introduction

I am honored that you have selected my professional counseling services. I am currently a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia. To date, I have been practicing under an unrestricted license in the states of North Carolina and Virginia since 2013 in community mental health, outpatient, and academic settings. On November 1, 2024, I became an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. My experience in the community, private, and academic sectors has allowed me to work with a variety of clinical issues. Areas of competence include attachment, complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), single-incident PTSD, Eye-Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR), somatic psychotherapy, codependency, boundary issues, anxiety, depression, grief, childhood trauma and abuse. At this time, I am only entering into an individual counseling relationship with adults (18+) and am no longer providing couples counseling. Referrals can be provided when needed. During the screening process, I evaluate my level of competence in accordance to the needs of the client and my clinical focus. In the event that my competence is in conflict with the level of professional need, I am obligated by law to make a referral to another professional counselor that serves the client’s best interest.
