Introduction

You don’t have to keep carrying everything on your own. If you’re searching for trauma therapy in Boise, Idaho, or support for anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or overwhelming life stress, therapy can help you understand what’s happening and begin to create real change. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can’t quite break—overthinking, emotional shutdown, difficulty in relationships, or feeling fine on the outside while struggling internally. Even when you understand your experiences, it can still feel difficult to change them alone. My approach to therapy is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions so they have less control over your life. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, we work on building psychological flexibility so you can respond in ways that align with your values. When trauma or PTSD symptoms continue to feel present in your daily life, I also integrate EMDR therapy, which can help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories so they feel less overwhelming and less disruptive to your present life. I work with adults experiencing a range of emotional and life challenges, including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic stress, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing patterns, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck despite having already tried to make changes on their own. Therapy is not about becoming someone new—it is about helping you get unstuck from patterns that no longer serve you and reconnecting with what matters most in your life. Over time, therapy can help you feel more grounded, more present, and more in control of how you respond to life’s challenges. You may begin to notice that you are less caught in cycles of avoidance or overthinking, and more able to pause, reflect, and choose your next step intentionally. Many clients also find they are better able to set boundaries, improve relationships, and reconnect with a sense of direction or purpose that may have felt out of reach. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, or emotional overwhelm, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy can be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. We will move at a pace that feels manageable for you and focus on what matters most in your life right now. If you are ready to begin therapy or simply want to ask questions, you are welcome to reach out by phone, email, or messaging. I offer both in-person therapy in Boise, Idaho and online therapy for clients anywhere in Idaho, and I look forward to connecting with you and helping you decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
