Introduction

I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I particularly enjoy working with people who may be new to therapy, hesitant about starting, or unsure of what they need from the process. I also work with individuals navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, and relationship challenges. I take the time to get to know you as an individual so that together, we can create an approach that reflects your unique experiences, needs, goals, and comfort level. I have a particular interest in working with athletes and understand the unique pressures that can come with sports, competition, and performance. As a longtime competitive swimmer and current swim coach, I bring firsthand familiarity with the demands of athletics and the ways they can intersect with mental health. I work with athletes navigating performance anxiety, confidence and self-doubt, perfectionism, motivation, setbacks, and the challenge of balancing their athletic identity with school, work, relationships, and other areas of life. I also recognize that athletes may seek therapy for concerns that have little to do with their sport and value creating a space where the whole person—not just the athlete—is understood. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches, I provide a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore challenges, develop greater insight, build on your strengths, and identify practical strategies for moving forward. I am also attentive to the ways social, cultural, and environmental factors can shape mental health and our experiences of ourselves and the world around us. Throughout our work together, you will remain an active participant in your care as we identify goals and approaches that feel meaningful and effective for you.
