Where do you want to be in your life? What are the clear and practical steps to get there? How do you develop the understanding, compassion, and motivation to take those steps? These are the kinds of questions we will address while working together. As a clinical health psychologist and former Buddhist monk, I use a collaborative approach focused on developing more personal well-being. I am a husband, father, brother, and business owner who values individual perspectives, personal priorities, and kindness. I am hard to offend and quick to trust with a healthy sense of humor. I am a Harvard and Tufts appointed clinical health psychologist and have offices in and Easton, MA. I specialize in mindfulness-based therapies and working with patients with co-morbid anxiety, depression, mood disturbance, and other psychological symptoms causing, attributing, or resulting from chronic pain or illness. In working together it is important to clarify personal beliefs, values, and priorities to direct our approach. We will then create a skillful plan together. I take a Humanistic approach with elements of Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support the patient preference. In addition, I am the founder of SkillfulMeans a wellness platform where we develop mindfulness-based programs for parents, teachers, athletes, those looking to reconnect with their bodies or integrate mindfulness into their everyday life.
