I approach counseling from a practical, client-centered approach. I believe in meeting people where they are at, setting realistic therapeutic goals, and fostering intentional self-exploration. My experience with clients focuses on changing behavioral patterns, dealing with interpersonal issues, exploring new coping skills, and addressing symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have a significant history of providing both individual and group therapy for LGBT+ people. I have worked with people experiencing substance use from both abstinence and harm reduction approaches. I enjoy working with non-monogamous or poly folks as well. I use mindfulness, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and narrative counseling tools to help reach goals. Our work will include blending tools from these therapies to support you. I hope for us to create a relationship where you can feel safe to explore and feel supported around making positive changes without judgement. Please reach out to me through email to set up a free consultation, and discuss your goals for therapy.
