About Dr. William Waters, PsyD I’m Dr. William Waters, a licensed psychologist in Washington State and the founder of Peak Potential Psychology, PLLC. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across clinical, counseling, forensic, and leadership roles, helping people move through anxiety, trauma, ADHD concerns, identity questions, and major life transitions. My work is centered on evidence-based approaches and a genuine belief in people’s capacity to grow, adapt, and heal. What It’s Like to Work with Me My clients are often high-functioning but internally overwhelmed—feeling stuck, uncertain, or like something isn’t quite aligning in their lives. Many are navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD symptoms, identity changes, relationship shifts, or simply the weight of carrying too much for too long. They come to therapy looking for a space that feels steady, thoughtful, and real—where they can speak freely, feel understood, and work toward the kind of change that lasts. In our work together, I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed care. I tailor the process to each person, balancing structure with flexibility so we can build clarity, insight, and sustainable growth at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy can feel uncertain at first—especially if you’ve tried before or felt misunderstood. My goal is to create a space that is warm, grounded, and collaborative. If you’re ready to look more closely at what’s happening beneath the surface and take steps toward meaningful change, I’d be honored to support you. You don’t have to sort it all out alone.
