Introduction

The therapeutic process is powerful and deeply meaningful. At the same time, I recognize that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, frustrating, or uncomfortable. Finding a clinician you trust, as well as connect with, is an important part of the process and what I believe to be one of the strongest predictors of meaningful change. Fostering that connection is something I deeply value. From our first session, my goal is for you to feel respected, supported, understood, and genuinely valued. Therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are, explore challenges openly, and know that you are not facing them alone. My desire to become a counselor began during my freshman year of high school after experiencing therapy for myself. While several clinicians helped me navigate difficult experiences, the ones who had the greatest impact were those who saw me as more than a problem to solve. They helped me feel valued as an individual, empowered as a person, and supported as a human during some of life's most difficult moments. Those experiences continue to shape the counselor I am today. A frequent question asked within the field is whether therapy is an art or a science. For me, the answer has always been both. I believe effective counseling requires evidence-based approaches, professional expertise, and a commitment to continued learning. At the same time, meaningful therapy requires human connection, authenticity, and a genuine understanding of each person's uniqueness. My work is mostly informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy, while remaining flexible enough to meet the individual needs of each client. I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and skills through ongoing education, professional collaboration, and remaining informed about new developments in mental health and counseling. Every client brings a unique story, and I believe counseling should be tailored to reflect that individuality rather than following a one size fits all approach. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness, but rather one of the most courageous decisions a person can make. If you are considering therapy, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, discover new possibilities, and create meaningful change in your life. To share more about myself in support of you finding the right therapeutic relationship, I am married to my high school sweetheart, Abbie, and together we are raising two amazing little dudes. We also have a dog named Dax and a cat named Aspen, both of whom are thoroughly spoiled members of the family. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, coaching baseball, reading, watching sports, spending time with friends and family, as well as occasionally playing some video games.
