Introduction

Welcome Friend, I imagine the journey to find us has been quite an adventure, but now that you are here I hope you feel part of our community and recognize you are not alone. Whistleblowers of America and Workplace Promise Institute are the leaders in whistleblower mental health research, advocacy, intervention, and training. WPI is the training and education center for Whistleblowers of America (WOA), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist whistleblowers who have suffered retaliation after revealing harm committed against individuals and/or the public during the course of their employment. So, you might be here for peer support, a certification, to mentor, or volunteer. To each of you I have the deepest respect and hope to greet you, either personally or via our network of volunteers. We are a whistleblower led agency that is reliant upon the community to be present and engage, so thank you for reaching out. Peer Support, all we need from you is to show up ready to try something new, be open to ideas, and vulnerable enough to tell us how we can help you during this Whistleblower journey which can be traumatic. WoA will try to meet you where you are. Three Workplace Promise Institute's (WPI) Certification Pathways; ·       Whistleblower Protection Advocate WP-A, recognizes the need to rebalance access to justice and share information among employees who report wrongdoing but suffer from retaliation and its psychosocial effects. The certification is designed to teach peer support skills, develop leadership skills, and cultivate resilience to manage workplace conflict /abuse. ·       Whistleblower Protection Mentor WP-M, designed for individuals who want to volunteer with Whistleblowers of America as a mentor. Typically someone who is deeper into their Whistleblower journey and wants to share their hard earned wisdom. ·       Whistleblower Protection Mental Health Clinician WP-MHC, is for clinicians who wish to work with whistleblowers in their clinical practice. Mentors and Volunteers, thank you for being willing to share your lived experience and areas of expertise to strengthen our community and build up our program. I look forward to brainstorming with you, making connections, and thanking you for all the time you have dedicated to making the world a better, safer place while safeguarding the most vulnerable of us. Despite what brought you here we would like to meet you with a virtual intake, personalizing the discussion and finding the correct path. I look forward to meeting you.
