Introduction

About Me Hello, I’m Wyshanta Pompey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of GAP Connections Therapy Company, where our mission is to guide growth and foster healing. My journey into therapy began through a deep calling to help others reclaim their sense of wholeness after experiencing life’s most difficult transitions—whether through trauma, loss, or relationship challenges. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, domestic violence, and the lasting effects of trauma. My Approach I believe therapy should feel like a safe and collaborative space—one where you are both seen and empowered. My approach integrates trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and polyvagal regulation techniques to help clients reconnect with their inner stability and self-compassion. Together, we focus on understanding emotional triggers, building healthier boundaries, and learning to regulate both mind and body responses. Who I Work With I specialize in working with survivors of trauma, high-achieving professionals coping with burnout, caregivers balancing multiple roles, and individuals seeking clarity and confidence after major life changes. My goal is to help clients move from survival mode to a place of grounded strength and emotional freedom. Why GAP Connections At GAP Connections, we believe that healing happens through connection—connection to self, to others, and to purpose. Through compassionate listening and evidence-based strategies, our sessions are designed to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
