Introduction

As an Asian American, first-generation, or college student navigating anxiety, identity, family expectations, relationships, or major life changes, you may feel caught between who others expect you to be and who you want to become, and I work with young adults, college students, Asian and Asian American clients, first-generation individuals, and LGBTQ+ adults in Phoenix and throughout Arizona. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what you're carrying, and create a life that feels true to who you are, and I offer culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in English and Mandarin (普通话). My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, drawing from CBT and ACT to help you understand patterns, build practical coping skills, and move toward your goals. What to expect in our first session: We'll start with what's going on and why you're here, and I'm listening the whole way through, because I actually want to understand what you're dealing with before we start working out what to do about it. If something ties back to your family or background, tell me about it, and I won't make you explain it from scratch. There isn't a script we're following, since some people start talking right away and others need a session or two to get comfortable, and both of those are fine by me. You don't have to figure it out alone or have the right words ready. Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
