Poem from Former Client, sharing about their therapeutic experience: When I think about healing, I think of waterfalls. Water moving through and over rocks naturally and at their own pace. When I think about healing, I also think of therapy and how good therapists help us find our streams and smile as we drink deeply and well. I know healing to be an unhurried thing. I know healing to be a beautiful, painful, terrifying and necessary thing. Though revisiting my memories and past traumas did not always hurt in the ways I thought they would. The pain often came from the realization that I had survived such horrors and could still see them, feel them too. That they were and may not ever be truly gone. But I wanted to seek truth, unearth what was tucked away in the recesses of my mind. Now I am finally ready to turn the page and write new chapters. I am glad to have begun my healing journey here. May it never end, may my waterfall continue to flow always. - Anonymous (all rights reserved for copyright)
