My pronouns are She/Her/Hers. I am biracial (Chinese/White). I am queer. I am also the daughter of an immigrant. The systems we move in, starting with our Family Of Origin (FOO) and Cultural Of Origin (COO), greatly impact our coping skills, how we see ourselves, and our own personal identity. My personal identities drove my desire to specialize in identity related issues: Generational trauma, Racial and Cultural identity, Multiracial and Multicultural Families, Gender and Sexuality, Postpartum Anxiety and Depression, Parenting and Caregiving, Body Image/Body Positivity/Fat Liberation, Life Transitions, Personal Development, and Adjustment Disorders. I primarily work with female or non-binary identifying clients. Ages 18+. I have a Masters of the Arts Degree (MA) in Psychology, with an emphasis in Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LHMC) LH61241556, and a Mental Health Professional (MHP) in Washington State. I have worked in mental health since 2010, and have been a mental health therapist since 2014. I worked in community mental health for over 7 years, and then transitioned to working with clients in the long-term care system for almost 5 years, before opening this private practice. My overall treatment methodology is holistic and systemic. I primarily utilize Systems Theory, Family Systems Therapy (Bowen), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Polyvagal Theory, Person-Centered (Rogerian), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Mindfulness/Breathwork/Guided Imagery, Psychodynamic psychotherapy, and others as needed. Every course of treatment is unique and individualized to each client, with a blend of different modalities dependent on your personal needs and goals. We will work together to develop a safe space for you to land and explore who you are or who you want to be. Taking the first step to find a therapist can be daunting. Every therapist has a different style and vibe, and it can be hard to decide who is the best fit. Because of that, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation as a low risk way to connect with me, before moving forward with treatment.
