I believe that building healthy coping skills early makes all the difference—that's why I'm passionate about working with children and teens. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHCA) in North Carolina, I draw on my background as a preschool teacher and special needs aide alongside my clinical training to understand how kids develop and how families communicate. I work with children, teens, young adults, and their families to address anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and life adjustments. I'm a strong believer in the principle that "when a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower"—so I work with entire family systems, helping all members support one another through the therapeutic process. My approach centers on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to foster positive thinking patterns, combined with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques for managing intense emotions and building mindfulness. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions and am currently accepting new clients. I'd be glad to partner with you and your family.
